Our Story
Bobba Beads was created in Harlem, New York where I have lived since 2011. Named in honor of my late-grandmother, Dr. Barbara “Bobbi” Carlson, Bobba Beads is my way of sharing her love for jewelry with you. Christmas, which we shared as our favorite holiday, always meant a thoughtful gift of jewelry for me.
I decided to create a line of bracelets - that I knew Bobba would love - inspired by my favorite things in life. My goal is to design beautiful, colorful and more importantly, wearable pieces that will bring joy, positivity, love and peace to everyone that wears them. Each bracelet is mindfully designed to celebrate who you are.
Our beads represent all of Bobba’s grandkids. The beads, like my sisters and cousins, and like your family and friends, are all different, colorful and special.
Each Bobba Bead bracelet comes with a mindful intention card that contains a positive and uplifting message created to support your inner journey.
Bobba Beads make unique and meaningful gifts to give to yourself and your loved ones (both women and men).
I also believe that giving back is part of receiving. Therefore, a portion of our profits is donated to organizations close to my heart, who are committed to helping children and families in need.
“Bobba was a pioneer, an explorer and a lover of people. She was my inspiration.”

About the Designer
Hello. My name is Kerlin - @nyc_la_sobe_pr
I am a citizen of the world. I was born in Honduras and raised in Los Angeles, CA. I now call New York City home.
I am a very spiritual person with a passion for traveling, cooking and culture. A perfect day for me is waking up to a beautiful sunrise with coffee or enjoying a stunning sunset on the beach. Since I can’t travel to the beach everyday, and life isn’t a vacation, I cherish creating memories with family and loved ones.
I believe that the diversity in our communities and experiences makes us all special and unique. More now, than ever, I believe we have to love, care and look out for one another.
